In talking with Wheeler's, that was the recommended coil when you have, or plan to install, a heavy aftermarket bumper and winch. Even with a V6 extended cab. I am also planning on running a full set of Skid Row or BudBuilt skid plates, so that will add another 150 lbs or so to the front of the truck.
Right now with just the ARB bumper on the front, it rides pretty nice. The stock suspension was completely wore out on the front. There was only about 1-1/2" of travel before the bump stops hit. The truck was bottoming out on the smallest of bumps/dips on the highway! I can't wait to hit some trails to test out the new suspension!:D

Here is a picture before the lift, you can see how low the truck was sitting in the front and the rear suspension. There rear leaf springs actually had a negative arch to them. If I had any weight in the back and hit a bump it would bottom out the suspension.

What size are those KM2's? 265/75/16 or 33X10.5-15?

Those are actually 31x10.5-15. They look bigger in the picture before the lift because the suspension was sagging so much!

Very nice, BVCOTaco!! I'm consedering getting some OMEs as well, but I heard they don't hold their lift very long when actually wheeled???? Anybody else notice this?

I like my Eibachs, but I'd like to get 3.5" of lift in the front with skids/armor, and I don't think the Eibachs will achieve that unless I get a couple trim packers and top plates..... What do you guys think is the best option for getting that much lift with that much weight?

I can't comment on how long the 883's will hold with the weight and wheeling, but I can report back this fall :D

Keep the Eibachs. They are 650lb coils and OME 883s are only 590. The Eibachs hold the weight quite well and don't sag a ton.

They will keep 3'' of lift at least anyways. Plus anything over that isn't really good for your ISF especially for your year. For some reason the new 1st gens don't take the 3'' of lift as nicely as us older guys.

Anyone know how much the ride is affected on coilovers when you crank 'em up to 2-3'' of lift?

Looking at SAW 2.0's for the front of my truck...but curious on how they will ride set to about 2.5'' of lift.

Yeah, I know going that high is bad for the IFS.... but I'll have Manual Hubs so I won't really need to worry about CV angles.... :notsure:

And didn't know eibachs were 650lb coils!! that awesome. :D I guess I could always stick on some "taco lean" top plate spacers on both sides to get that extra half inch... there's another question though: Is it okay to stack those 1/4" top plate spacers so I can still correct the lean???

Got my LEDs for my corners and map light in yesterday. Tried putting in the map light LED and the bulb is way too long. Guys from superbrightleds were cool about it and letting me returning it though.

Going to throw the corner LEDs in there on saturday.

I love the windoors! The only thing better is the windoors with the sliders in the middle!

I need to order a new window for the front of my shell. One piece was already broken out and one piece was already replaced with plexiglass when I bought it.
I might look into replacing the sides with the windoors with sliders. They would be nice for camping in the back of the truck! And for the dogs riding back there in the summer time.

No you still have to worry, i mean come on..you still use 4wheel drive haha

But yea Eibachs are nice coils man. And there are some ppl that indeed do run a 1/4'' spacer but only on the driver side to ride of the taco lean. I don't have one tho but i also go new leaf packs with my lift..and don't put more the one on. With just a plate bumper you'll still be at 3.5-3.25'' of lift easy. Add and winch to that, prolly 3-3.25''. You'll burn through CVs like crazy if you put 1/2'' spacers on them.

lol you kno that red stuff you hear about in fairy tales and story books?????

I cant wait till I can upgrade to the valved adjustable eibach coilovers.
