Looks like a nice Sig 226 and an E2 model. How did you fit you fit your hands in there to screw that plate on? If you're right handed it looks like it would be more comfortable drawing if you had mounted on the driver side of the console......will your fingers fit between the grip and plate?

Bought new tires today. I got 36,000 out of the stock BFG Rugged Trails and could probably have gone another 5,000 before hitting the illegal tread depth indicators. There are as many opinions on what tire to purchase as there are grains of sand on a beach so I went with what I felt works well for my needs, had good experience with, and looks good.

I bought 4 265/70-16 Michelin AT/2s. I have this exact size and tire on my '97 4Runner and have just loved them. The 4Runner has about 40K miles and you wouldn't even know. They run great on highway snow and mild to medium off-roading. They have been the perfect balance of highway and off road that I do.

I am on hard surface for 90% of the time but do get off on dirt roads and trails a few times a month to coyote hunt. I don't rock crawl at all. I figure what the AT/2 lacks in deep snow traction on pavement the 4-wheel drive system will make up for if I drive conservatively. The Tacoma has a much more advanced 4-wheel drive system than the 4Runner and the 4Runner plays in snow and mud just fine.

BTW - Costco for tires baby! These were $145 out-the-door less than Discount Tire with the same service. You must compare out-the-door cost. Costco with hazard ins, installation, state tax (6.85%), disposal fee, etc. = $861, which I felt was good for these expensive tires. Discount Tire was $1,006 (DT will give you a $70 visa gift card until 1/29). Costco includes most of the add on crap into their price already so they are advertised a little higher but much cheaper in the end.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Very nice. Was my first choice but I couldn't find them local when I needed them. Got Firestones instead. So far so good but haven't had much cause to test them yet.

A little of this and a little of that.
Washed it, vacuumed the interior, and scrubbed the GA red clay stains off of the weather tech's. Truck is in the garage and it's raining right now.
