X2...I drive my truck like a truck...not a camaro. I feel that ABS takes away from the driver's control over the car anyways. If I need to pump the brakes in a situation I will (like when its raining), I have done it before.

And ABS sucks off road because it inhibts your ability to stop quickly, especially in gravel or sand.

when used properly it actually adds to your control

you hit the brakes in an emergency on pavement without it, and you have zero control

    depends on the driver.

Yes, ABS adds to your control in an Emergency, but I wouldn't say not having ABS means you have no control when you hit the brakes hard. If you know how to manage your vehicle properly, not having ABS wont be a problem.

Knowing how to drive you vehicle properly and driving smart>ABS.

And like I mentioned before, ABS is dangerous offroad.

When your tires are skidding, you do NOT have control of your vehicle nor can you steer effectively

ABS prevents your vehicle from skidding by pulsing your brakes and allows you to steer while in an emergency

That doesnt depend on the driver...thats how it works

With that being said, in inclement weather and on surfaces that already have less traction...it can be a problem IF you do not plan ahead

I would not by any stretch consider a crown vic a high performance vehicle, but it is routinely driven as such

When you have driven 2 identical vehicles minus the ABS in ways that we push the crown vics, you'll understand the benefits of ABS

I have had opportunities to skid and slide both ABS and non ABS crown vics for purposes of studying their skids for collision recon, and i assure you...it is difficult to create a yaw skid with ABS engaged

with all of that said, I'm not arguing with you anymore about it

I didn't think we were arguing?

And I never said that ABS doesn't add to your control over the vehicle in emergency situations...lol...I know it does

Knowing the limitations of your vehicle ABS or not is a lot more important.

Just relaying what i have researched man. I have actually seen a lot of pics of them with some rush. Its usually just surface rust tho i think. So its not a SUPER big deal i think. Oh and i think you should send them to ME more then anyone :D haha

No ABS here.....and i might drive mine like a bat outa hell :anonymous:

Never had a moment where id like it tho...once you get used to driving without it then you should know how to control your vehicle and what its limits are.

The tab is for the front brake line. There should also be a clamp and screw to hold the brake line. Keep an eye on it though because my clamp was too small and it was tearing the outer layer of my brake line and I just resorted to zip tieing the line to the arm

My truck also has no ABS, was an option in 2002 and mine didnt get it

I also don't have abs. You should know your vehicle's braking abilities and be able to drive accordingly.
