I just want to vent some...
I went to help a friend move from Oakland to Alameda today, from these condos to a house she bought. Addie is a friend of mine I met doing work at her house while her husband was dying of cancer.
long story short I helped her out a bunch and she in turn has helped me, so when she called for help i'm gonna come, she's from NY feisty and in her sixties. So she has a crew of Latinos showing up and these guys are cool, they roll up in the trucks and I click em thru the gates, it's a five story building, no parking on the street, when (I guess), the manager comes out on her balcony and starts reading me the riot act about parking inside, I calmly explain it to her but she keeps going, so we move the trucks, next time i see her she starts to open her piehole and i just shut her down with a "lady, i gotta a lot of work to do.
Meanwhile addie is upstairs having panic attacks and i have to calm her down, the manager bitch keeps goin with my guys, this, that, blocking open the front door, FUCK! Then, she goes on to tell me to unload the elevator by taking everything out in the lobby instead of running it straight to the trucks WHICH ARE NOW PARKED FARTHER AWAY!! So the elevator can be used by other residents quicker. Now I'm pissed, finally she goes away after asking me if I knew about the blind resident up on three, I say yes i know who he is, blah blah blah, yes we will work to keep the lobby clear BUT WE'RE FUCKING MOVING!! I'm watching time being wasted and I'm really unhappy. I tell the guys do what you need to with the elevator, fuck em.
Finally Addie's friend Susie shows up, I tell Susie not to tell Addie any of this and keep that bitch away from Addie or it will send Addie over the edge. Me and these guys bust our asses all fucking day, AT&T had a problem in the street wiring, can't hook up her bundle today which means I gotta come back Saturday to the new house, what could have been a one day job for me has turned into two and a half.
Anyways Addie calls me while I'm working at the new house, one of the things she tells me is that the blind guy came up and bitched about the elevator, now I told you Addie is from NY right? she's all "That motherfucker! He's not even that fucking blind, he didn't have his fucking cane and he walked up and back down two fucking flights of stairs! That piece of shit!!!!"
I'm laughing now, "Hey Addie, in two days you'll be gone so fuck those people"

End of rant, thank you, we now return you to your regularly scheduled mayhem.

I've got a gerber multi-tool that I must have bought 13 years ago, still keep it in my truck and I still use it pretty frequently, been just a fantastic knife... Bought it at Cabella's... I think I was 13 or 14 when I got it....

I've got one of those in my truck too! Probably the same, or at least close. It was issued to me when I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall, UK.

get some beer from Peacetree. I had 2 bottles of their Imperial Stout last night. I was buzzed. (10% Alcohol)

 

Where is it available? I have to buy beer before I head back to the East Side of town.... Good beer doesn't sell over there...
