Nothing in those pics look any different than mine right now.....What part are ppl using in exchange? the entire filler from the tank up to the pocket?? Is it a new bigger pocket from a different OE application?

we run our 5.9 Solid Axel Dodge in the Lucas Oil Regional Series and it does very well. It will be running the ADRA Desert series as well this season, it is a much better desert truck than people give it credit for.

i have actually seen that truck and it does very well for a SFA truck.

but one question, why did you guys choose to build a SFA truck other than IFS? just to be different? especially with the type of racing you guys do wouldnt it be more beneficial to run IFS?

Shannon Campbell is a good friend of ours and is in the shop frequently. His IFS hammers rig will blow a lot of built Class 1 cars out of the water. He's just that good!

Not to mention that he does run a 4x4 Class 1 in Best in the Desert and does extremely well

Its a budget minded class and vehicle, and they can go pretty damn fast through the dezert for the investment and have a reliable 4x4. Its just different strokes for different folks my man.
I started with the xj thing because i live 1.5hours from the rubicon but still love smashing through the desert. It's a great multi-purpose platform to build relatively cheaply.

The truck wasn't purchased originally with the intention of being a race truck. The owner wanted the 5.9 Cummings motor and the suspension was what it was. Having seen how quick the truck was one thing led to another and now we are where were at today. Regardless that truck is pushing 850HP/1200 ft lbs of torque and in the open desert the ability to still use 4WD through the thick silt and sand puts it one step ahead of most other trucks in our class

have you guys thought about switching the SA out for beams? or would the costs to do that way out weigh the pros?

Open headers or dumped Y-pipe is my guess. One of the guys that works here drove his Tacoma on just Thorley headers and URD Y-Pipe for a couple of days while he was building his Cat-Back and sounded very similar. it was obnoxiously loud

The Carli kit were running works extremely well so no. Yes 4x4 beams do exist. We have a ton of videos of that truck on our website, I just don't want to clutter the thread up with diesel smoke :p
