That's why you stay to the side and let her do all the work. Then catch, dry, and say congratulations

According to my instructors, we don't deliver babies the mother does. We simply are there for moral support and to catch.

98% of the time. Your instructor is correct. But breech, and limb presentation needs our help

I go to college in NY and I am taking overall 21 credits this semester when most are only taking 16 credits. That is because 6 of those credits is an EMT - B course.... do you think that it is too much this semester? Is the EMT course thatttt hard that I wont be able to pass it ?

EMT-Basic is cake. Most is common sense, nothing super technical.

But 21 credits is a lot...you might overwhelm yourself just because of the volume of classes you are taking...not the difficulty.

Yeahh thats what I figured, I've been riding with vol. ems for 5 years now, and both my parents are emt's, but I wanted to get another perspective on it. My tuesdays and thursdays are from 9am-10pm with little 15 min breaks in between classes. thats including the emt class. I'd rather drop an elective though, if i get too overwhelmed than drrop the EMT... I want that so bad! lol

Thats going to depend on 2 things,

    1. How well do you manage your time?

    2. How much a social life do you want to have this semester?

Wow. I couldn't imagine spending 13 hours at school. 8 is enough.

should have used real bullets

Wouldn't be suprised if the scumbbag tried to bring litigation against the home owner. If the case gets a liberal judge...the homeowner is screwed.

Dead men tell no tales....and can't sue you.

Not to mention using LTL (less then lethal) methods to defend your home is very unsafe. You never know if and what the assailant is under the influence of..and how many real bullets it will take to put him down.

Holy crap that's a lot. I'm currently at 19, and it might be too much for me, haven't really decided yet.

I took a WFR course over the winter break and really liked it. It really got me interested in the emergency medical field. Are ems jobs hard to come by? I might look into it if I can't find a job with my major.

You're not going to have much of a life I did 19 hours last semester and came out with a 3.4 but had spent very little time with friends most was studying, sleeping, school, and the occasional trip to Hardee's with my friends. I wouldn't do that many hours again. I say drop something, school is important but there's more to life than studies.

Heyy sorry i never got back to you.... For the first month it took a little to get used to the crazy schedule, but due to my brother finding out they were gonna deploy his unit last minute, my parents had to fly out and I had to watch the dogs and house, resulting is missing a few classes.... So one teacher made me drop out of his class from that, but it was a stupid marketing class that I hated the teacher anyway.... other that that, I am taking 18 credits, have class tue wed thur, and so far enjoy EMT-B. And I just make sure I do my work and study on my days off, and I never really enjoyed going out on the week days, so I save most of my social life for the weekends. The only class that sucks really, is a Single Camera Production class that you spend about 7 hours a week out of class working on videos, so that eats up alot of my time :( Thanks guys :)
