If your in shape get it on your ribs at an angle going mostly vertical. You can hide it easy and chicks will go nuts. If your fat get it on your leg somewhere. On the front of your shin creeping onto your knee would be a good spot.

sweet. so far you've been the best advice. ive been looking around. i have some friends who have tattoos and have given me names of people. obviously with them being friends ive gotten up close to their tats and so far they all look good, no "coloring outside the lines" sort of thing if you know what i mean.
Thank you for the advice again. i really appreciate it.

Off topic to the off topic thread, but +1 for the above Vermin Supreme pic. When I was in Boston, we had the DNC in 2004. He's both silly and serious - I was escorting the protest march (I'm National Lawyers Guild) and Vermin defused a highly tense situation when the National Guard had their rifles drawn on non-violent protesters who were peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights. He actually recited the Posse Comitatus Act, seemingly from memory! He was dressed in full BDU, with a clown wig and nose (and huge plastic ass) and called on the civilian police to arrest the Guard for violating the Act. It was such a silly and ridiculous scene; it got everyone to take a breathe and laugh for a minute. He's an awesome guy.

Don't get a tattoo, they make you look dirty (unclean). IMHO. If you must, don't get it on your face, neck or hands.

No problem. Miss. Autumn did mine. One of the first female artists I met. She had a new shop in my town and the entire front of the store was six foot tall trophies. She specializes in portraits and loves to talk about her apprenticeships and training. Mine is a knot on my shoulder and after 10 years has no fading. When she did mine she was 7 months pregnant which in itself was a really funny event.

During the Foothills Fall Festival (big concert event) a couple years ago she made headlines because Hank Williams Jr had some ink done by her. He said he had been a fan of hers for a while and was glad they could get together. That was the point I knew I picked right.

Lastly, I would definitely suggest locating it in a concealable location. Nothing to be ashamed of but there are plenty of employers in the world that do close their minds after a first impression. Put it high enough up the arm to be covered by clothes... or low enough... this will also help keep it out of the sun. Sun KILLS Tattoos. I always lather spf50+ on my tattoo.

Oh and if you go on the foot where a couple pairs of your favorite sandals to locate it. My wife has a pair of chocos she wears all summer and hers is right between the straps. Can't have a strap rubbing your ink off!

Well Miss Autumn is very similar to Kat only located close to Knoxville, TN. She is almost 6' tall and I think she spends as much time working out as she does drawing. She is ripped. I have seen her around town from time to time and people are always staring at the hot woman in tiny tank tops covered in ink. But then people love to judge others.

she sounds badass! I'd stare too, but not out of judgement, more out of appreciation for her confidence and individuality. i find that people are intimidated by confidence.
