    I haven't been to all of them; but I know the guys who have hit most of them all really like Hidden Falls. That place is huge, has trails for every level, and is it's own off road destination almost on par with SuperLift in Arkansas.

    Depending on when you go we might have a group for either here or TOR going there for a weekend of off roading.

    oh man, it's be all too convenient to meet up with a tacoma group for a few days out there. i'll keep an eye on the meet threads and maybe try to plan on being there a certain time (if that's where the cross country route takes us)

    i love traveling and experiencing the diverse terrain in different states. up in virginia, west virginia, pennsylvenia, etc it's all rocks, and down in florida, it's some parts are like a miniature out west. met a guy over the summer who used to train for baja in one of our national forests.

    moral of the story: i'd love to wheel texas and experience yet another wheeling culture.

    thats my only worry.. I hate the idea of spending1500- 2000 on tires and wheels to just pretty it up and kill mpg anf power

    If you are trying to go with bigger tires and save some MPGs you might look at going with a slightly more narrow tire. Last time I got tires for my Tacoma I went with a much more narrow tire and managed to pick up an easy MPG when mixed driving. As long as you go with a solid product and check it every so often you should be good. It isn't any worse than Harley maintenance. :rolleyes:
