I would think you would be fine. I am running 285's with a 2.5" spacer and just trimmed and tucked a little plastic and have no problems. Let us know how it turns out!

Yea I have not looked but maybe PO trimmed some stuff. If not I'll Trim whatever that's cool. Just didn't know if there was much room to be made. Rather not use the spacers and keep springs and shocks at 0 setting. If ,85 is a bad deal on shocks then I rather not do it

Man I hope all this is a good ride!

Now one thing I forgot. I need to look through box of parts PO gave me. It has 3" spacers on top of coils. Are they in use with the stock spring toppers? So they can install and not need a compressor or anything? Sounds silly to ask but I don't do much coil over work I'm a straight axle kind of guy! Haha. If I can re build all this w the new springs and shocks and I'll have the stock spring top plate.

Sorry. Another thing I consider is doing 884 springs w 5100's so I can be 2" and bump up .85 to a 2.85" height.

    No?

Here read this. But if you want new shocks and coils you are going to need to compress them.

    Yes this will work

With that brig read for a second time, I still comet read that a spacer lift on my girls grocery getter is fine an closet olfactory ride. Will it be noticeably better ride and softer feel than the stock setup that is 100k old?

Will there be any benefit to 884 springs over 885 spring. If I use 884 I can adjust with shocks to getup if I use 885 I would have to install the top spacers to be close to 3". I know there same spring was just cut some10mm longer or something like that.

885s are used for adding 100 plus front end weight.

884s are used for no additional front weight and used to level truck.

If your stock coils have 100k on the, it's time to replace.

Also the 885s are a stiffer coil. You would problem get a better ride if you got 884s

Ok I like that sound. Now is it still going to be a smoother ride with 884 coils and set shock to .85 or would the TOYTEC Eibach spring be best.

Or to keep spring smooth do I do 884 OME spring, with the top place spacer of I think it says .75 maybe.

While I'm here, and I hate I'm Already thinking this but should I just get the LR UCA's. And while working on it just do this once so I can go get alignment an be done

Do the 884s and set the 5100s to .85

UCAs yes get them to. Do it all at once. I didn't and I'm ordering them here soon. But I love wrenching so I'm okay with it.

As do I but I'm the king of take it apart. And a whole can of worms comes out an I end up kicking myself in the a$$ for not ordering it all. So then I wait another week w truck apart in garage haha.

So 884 coils at .85 setting that's not damaging to top out or much else. An technically that would be "2.85" over 2.75. Spacers or not assuming it doesn't sag much.

Thanks for insight. The direction I think I was heading.

So here is the truck. Front and back of wheel wells which I think looks a little trimmed in the front. Then of my cv angles. And ball joint.

Tires are 285/75-16 on 16x8 4.5 backside. Fits perfect not a bit of rub unless I hit a bump turning an touches a little. Spacers was told 3" I didn't hand measure yet.

I want to go 885's on 5100's set to 0. LR UCAs and I'l hope it fits. Worse case add spacers later.

Yea I thought I said I was doing the LR UCA's while im all into this. Not worried about the install thats all easy stuff just want to know I get the parts right before I order. I am fine ordering the OME shocks I am sure they work better together I was just seeing so many people went with 5100's. Also I hope they are a better ride for being so much more money! Are the Light Racing UCA's a good setup. I wouldnt bother doing but as we said if I'm doing balljoints, and going to have the lift mine as well know I get my alignment correct.

Well figured I would update... I made my Sig match my order!

Just ordered through Toytec the following:

OME Lift kit 885 coils - top spacers - 90000/n182 shocks - NO dif drop after my research - Light Racing UCA's! Pretty pumped since this truck rides a little like a wagon with this spacer lift and old shocks/coils.

I did the kit because its like 30 bucks more than piecing it all together and in the end I get a set of 2" AAL and center pins that are 80 bucks retail. Truck already has a 2" aal installed so I figured easy enough to throw on craigslist and here for sale and make a few bucks back. Seems like more work than needed but was a nicer option to get all the springs coils all that together and they are installing it all so I get the trim spacer and for a $100 time is money. When it shows up i'll be done that night now. LAzy as I get old haha!

4x4 yea... but changed direction last minute before I ordered. Went with OME 885's and all OME shocks. Makes sense their springs and shocks work best together. And I won't need to ever use the height adjustment on the 5100's...Also if there like the other shocks that are bare aluminum they will be JUNK in our salty NY roads so the painted OME is a longer last finish\

If your 4x4 how does it fit for you, what size tire

Never really thought about corrosion with the Billys...BUT, I live in the desert sooooo...what corrosion??

The 5100s are valved a little better and dont heat up as easy as the OME Shocks... (so i'm told from a reliable source lol). I have a TRD O/R Prerunner so with the 885s and billys set at 0 i'm right at 3" after it all settled....I was sitting at about 3.25"

I'll be running 285s in about a month...maybe 295s...we'll see. Congrats with your purchase and what not.

You got it backwards. The OME (Old Man Emu) shocks are better valved, and stay cooler than the 5100's.
