Wiper Assembly

I need a picture or facsimile of the wiper assembly.

Accidentally left my wipers on when I turned my truck off, snow fell. Turned to ice. Turned my truck back on morning after, wipers went on, right one rotated normally left one frozen in place and now it moves like a gimp.

Think it just jostled itself loose and just needs retightening. Hopefully it's not broken and I need a new motor assembly all together.

And I don't want to hear any shit about my 'Oil change'.

K, so for future reference, the arm assembly is held onto the motor mount via what looks like a 14mm nut and Red Lock-Tite. When the arm was held frozen it just unscrewed the nut to save damage on the motor. It was a simple task of placing the arm where it's supposed to be and tightening the screw once more. I'm thinking of taking it off and reapplying more Lock-Tite to it though.

Never the less, easy fix, no damage.

 

meh, splash some "coolant" on there and it'll free riiiiight up

No no no no no. Coolant gets topped up with Tranny fluid; didn't you know?

Same scenario here - 2005 double cab. How did you get into the assembly? Pass blade won't move, driver works. I hear a click when it reaches the end of the wipe. pass wiper is completely free moving. Can't figure out how to get under the voer to see what need retightened or replaced.

PIcs are most helpful, or a link to existing pics/instructions would be great. If I can get into it I'm confident I can figure out the problem. Thanks

At the base of the wiper is where there is a cap that can be pried off. That's the part I took off that has the nut that needed tightening on my truck. Other than that, I got nothing I'm afraid.

You should go ahead and do the Uni-wiper mod while you're at it. Paint the wiper arm white.
