what is the Center consel made of?

    i know its probably a stupid question..what is the center consol made of? is it plastic or vinyl? iam talking about the shifter area cup holder and storage compartment... the reason being is i want to paint it black and i want to get the right paint for the job... has anyone done it ive searched and havent found anything...

    I don't know... "Mr. T" says some wacky stuff.

    I heard the center console is made of assholes. Do they make a paint for that?

    Plastic isn't much of a descriptor.

    I don't know what it is. Probably some resin thing, vs abs or whatnot. But if you wanted to adhere something to it or repair it, a better explanation of what it is would be needed.. for best results. I'd bet its not the "plastic" that people generally equate to plastic.

    Now for a real answer:

    Pop off the piece and look at the under side. I seem to recall an "ABS" stamp molded into it somewhere when I was cutting the hole for my in-cab 110V outlet.
