3" lift w/ 33" tires or 6" lift w/ 35" tires

why not a 6 inch lift with 33's on 18's

im so extreme in my taco, i drive it untill the wheels fall off..

Remeasured from the front of my IFS skid and got 13 1/4" in the front and about 13 at the back. ???

Rear diff remained the same.


Measured my tires BFG ATs at 34 psi with no load on them and maybe 10k on them, 35.2"

Toyo MT with 40 psi no load maybe 5/32 - 7/32 tread left 34.5

Couldn't find our cloth tape so used rope and it stretched a little so I guessed about how much it stretched so my numbers aren't exact.

Yeah, that's why I ask. I don't remove my tires more than typical but shit, regular rotations = once or twice yearly.

Plus us wheelers stress everything a bit more with our pastime...

Glad everyone's OK. What's the damage list? I assume the brake drum is FUBAR?

Unfortunately I have taking my wheels off more then I care for..plus, like you mentioned..all the abuse/torque we put our tacos through... I should have bought a train set instead of the taco

 

Well at least it can all be replaced in a couple hours once you get the parts. That's a plus. Again, glad no one was hurt.

 

..how? if you stress them enough with towing and rock crawling i guess. ive never seen that though.

id like more info on the last seconds before the wheel left the building.

 

damn thats bad. only ever seen that happen when the wheel isnt torued.

 

i'll post up pics showing the sheared studs..usually if a wheels comes off just because it was not properly torqued the studs will still be intact on the axle shaft
