Lowered 4x4's

I would like to see more peoples lowered 4x4's, so If you have one or pictures of one, please post.


I've searched ALOT, and the topic of lowered 4x4's isn't really covered on any of the forums. I feel there has to be more than the (roughly) 5 people that pictured their lowered 4x4's...

 

Well lowered trucks typically dont perform well offroad...and 4 x 4 is used offroad.

 

why would you want to LOWER a 4x4??

 

You want lower? GO BUY AN XRUNNER!! Jk, bro. There is a thread that was here a few weeks ago with a sweet blue lowered 4x4, Ill see if I can remember the name or Im sure someone who remembers it will chime in.

The guys just asking for pics of them, not everyone uses their 4x4 for off roading, he probably happens to have a 4x4 for whatever reason and wants to lower it.

Yeah, I saw the blue one, and I think a black on on the tundra racing site. I think they look awesome.

And I have a 4x4 to make sure I am at work when it snows, for the few times I have to pull a trailer to shows and get it out of the grounds when it rains. If I were going to go off road, I would have never bought a brand new one. Some may not understand lowering a brand new truck, but I personally think its a little more senseless to take a brand new vehicle off-road.

I guess if you want to be a lowered 4x4... and cruse the mall parking lots trolling for skanks you can go for it but if i was you id just get an xrunner it will go faster and there will be more "lowered truck" accessories for it just my .02

Yeah, I've noticed. Even customtacos.com doesn't really cover lowered 4x4's. I am just not an off-road person. Id rather ride ATV's and dirtbikes offroad.

I don't really have full intentions of lowering or lifting. I just think its pretty interesting and wanted to see more pictures

 

In the early 90's I was managing a truck accessory shop called Eastern Off Road. We did a ton of lift kits, winches, etc. Some kid shows up one day with a sky high 87 4 Runner (suspension & body lift, 39" Mickey Thompsons, triple tube bumpers) and asks how much it would cost to "slam it"... Blew my mind.
