4300k is the same color as an incandescent bulb. 6000k is a bright white fluorescent. Here's a good chart to pick colors.

 

Installed a Thule Rack on my Leer topper a couple weeks ago.

Way overpriced. Get some silverstar ultra's. Personally I think they aren't much different than the cheaper bulbs but give them a try.

 

Found out I could get a reg ballast mount to work with the DDM slim ballast.

we have 9003 size bulbs...i just got the zxe sylvainas and they are real good

 

I got the Ultraguage like 2 weeks ago and had it temporarily sitting on top of the steering column but wanted a better spot to mount it. I decided to utilize the blank on my dash where the "airbag key" goes on other yr Tacomas.

I used a Dremel to cut the suction cup mount UG provided right at the square "clip" portion; then drilled into the blank and squared it off. The square back of the "clip" fit into the hole I made perfectly tight as hell. I'm really happy with the end result!! Check it out VVVVV

I just ordered mine and expect to see it here Wed or Thurs this week... I like your mount position - would like some pics of the mount (behind the gauge - from both sides)

My big question on your mount location is how it affects airflow from vents in center.

Uniden Pro505xl for my truck. I've got a 4ft Fire Stick antenna coming in, free thanks to LazyLegs, now I just need a coax and I'll be good. I plan on putting it where the coin/ash try is. Could someone link me to a thread on how to hardwire the CB to the truck.

 

No but I've seen the add-a-fuse things on here before and figured I give that a shot, but what plug would I put it for it to turn on/off with the ignition? I've done the cig lighter always on mod so I'd rather not wire it in with that.

That is a bit misleading though because "white" is somewhat subjective. Sunlight at noon is up around 5500K so a 6000k bulb will look pretty "white" with a hint of blue.
4300k on the other hand may appear less "white" (slightly more yellow) but gives the most lumens (lumens=brightness) 4300k is about 10% brighter than its 6000k counterpart.
If you want light performance, go 4300k. If you want a whiter appearance that you cant see because you are the one driving, go with 6000k.

 

Drove 2 hrs... picked up a front diff,tranny mount, and various mounting brackets/bolts...drove 2 more hrs.... dropped off some tires and BS'd with Raymond (Dead Heretic) at his house... drove half an hour and went wheeling on a whim.... got stuck in sand..... aired down reeeeeally low and used a mudflap i got at the junk yard to get out..... borrowed an air pump from a dude with a blazer.... gave him 5 bucks.... followed him for a few miles and watched him coast to a stop.... he had run out of gas lol...... he said he was fine and his girlfriend was coming with a can of gas.... i said you sure? ok peace dude and drove 1 hour home

used more than 3/4 tank of gas!



all in all it was a good day!! lol
