This guy is crazy, right? 21 mpgs on an F-250 with 645 hp and mud terrains?

All I can figure is maybe, MAYBE it's a diesel and that mileage may be possible, but I have never heard heard of a diesel making 645hp...

645 isnt that much power for that truck. you could expect to be able to build that motor to beyond 1000hp, although past that you'd be limiting the daily drivability of that truck.

you have to remember now with a chip and a turbo upgrade you could be making this kinda power. you might not even need to meth it.

21mpg with a diesel is very realistic as far as 645hp he needs major mods to achieve that with that truck... Like douuble pumps, upgraded turbo, injectors, a good legit tune, full tbe,arp head an main studs etc......or hes full of shit.. Ask for a dyno sheet ... I came from my Duramax that I built and a large diesel community ...

my friends dad had a similar f250 2011 w/ the 6.7L and it got 20+ mpg. they're great trucks, very spacious, ride well, and are nicely designed

with that being an 08 i'm not sure about the similarities

    Im getting there......
As far as I can tell you could probably only get about 570 HP out of one of those KEM tunes with that truck but don't ask me....

If its a Duramax the stock bottom end is only good for 450hp. About same with the ford. The Cummins is the only one that can handle more power without the major motor mods.

I don't think that he is making 645 horse... But with a strong tune and opened up exhaust components I could see that truck making somewhere in the range of mid 500s.

So there are 645 hp diesels out there? How much torque would that make?

True 645 HP in a diesel. Torque should be around 1000ftlb give or take a hundred. I know people that do 750hp or better and drive them daily.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
We used to have a 02 Chevy Duramax 2500 quad cab, long ass (8ft I think) bed and got in the 20 range, really depends on how you drive them.

21mpg out of a 6.4L PSD is VERY unlikely. That may be what his overhead says, but he's likely getting 13-15mpg, if he's easy on it.

If you want a good MPG diesel, get an old 12V Cummins with a manual trans.

It is possible to do high teens with a newer truck, but you'd need to take off a bunch of unneeded shit, a good live tune, and an easy foot.

Pfff, there's 1000whp+ diesels out there. A guy at work DDs a 600hp Cummins. Another DDs a 550hp Powerstroke. Our drag truck is 1200hp, our "pulling" truck has 900hp.

Here's the drag truck on YouTube. 942whp... with it only firing on 5 cylinders and with wheel spin ON the dyno.

Josh I hear someone has a 6.4 in the 9s. I know Garmon had a few built 12valves making 30mpg too.

If they are saying there are getting that kind of mileage they must be running an add to sell it, it all ways goes up when it's for sale no mods required.
