Cool! Be sure and grab a paper and keep at least the page with your photo on it for use in your portfolio.

I got a Dynamic Perception timelapse rig and have finally sat down and screwed around with it. Made my first 3s timelapse movie too

I have a lot to learn but it's definitely a very cool setup. I am just reading about a couple of tools that allow you to control the camera using something called Little Bramper (you set the initial exposure and the device ramps the exposure to get you from light to dark/dark to light.

Timelapse is very cool. Even without the rig.

Went to my brothers work while he had a training meeting and snapped some pictures. Wasn't a great day to be there taking pictures (cloudy and drizzlin') but thought these was decent. What you all think?

This one is probably my favorite.

Ah yes...I see what you are saying. Got all them lines in der and one step to the left would have really guided you through the photo much more.

I grab a copy of the paper whenever I get published, the only one I don't have is one from the University of Miami that used one of my debate photos, but I got an electronic copy.

For Christmas my gf got me a portfolio to put all of my papers in

i picked mine up at B&H photo. there are several options for lenses to come with it. I believe you can get the 18-55, 18-135, 18-200 or the combo 18-55 and 75-300. Most people will tell you to go buy another lens and just buy the body. I got the 18-135 and i've been pretty happy with it. I'm just a noob, so others will know more about the lenses.

photoshop is expensive. I dont remember what the student discount is but either way i know its up in the hundreds of dollars. You can get lightroom which is like 90 with the student discount and personally i love it. Do you need it just to adjust exposure, white balance, etc. or are you going to be doing like photochopping? there is also gimp which is free but isnt as good at regular editing compared to lightroom.

EDIT: also go to the adobe site and download the trials...that will help you determine what you actually need
