Im not sure this thread will last long, but I have wondered. The Mormons have their own book, so to speak, yet in the last part of the Bible, this is said:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book”
    Revelation 22:18-19

My question is.....You guys made your own book? Dont you think that kinda pisses off God?

Why do so many people lump JWs and Mormons together?

Does it have to be a religion based question? How about a Tax question:

Jack and Jill file as "Married Filing Jointly" for the year 2011. They have a son, let's call him "Nikolai". Nikolai is 26 years old, attends an accredited University for the majority of the year, and made $2,850 in 2011. Jack and Jill provide less than half of Nikolai's financial support for the year. Are Jack and Jill able to claim Nikolai as a Dependent, and take the $3,700 deduction for Nikolai when they file their tax return?

YAY! Someone with a hard question!
    1. We didn't "make up" a book, in our belief Joseph Smith and others translated a record by the power of God.

    2. John didn't write the whole bible and he refers to "these" things or verses also not indicating the whole bible but his book(s).

    3. Technically the Book of Mormon is "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" not Bible part 2

Thanks for the tricky question!

Can you please explain the magic underwear?

And also explain that other planet you go to if you get resurrected or whatever? Or is it that god lives on it?

Also how depending on how good you are that you get to live in one of the 3 classes each with 3 subsections and that only mormons can get to the top one?

By memory murderers and rapists get the very bottom level. Atheists and good people may get the middle. And religius people get the top one??

Also why did you only allow black people in to the Church later on? I would have thought in the book of mormon the all knowing god would have included that one before humans and equality caught up with the Church.

Ok....It was "translated", but in the Bible, John, and others were spoken to, thus writting down the Word of God as it was spoken......And there is no mention in the Bible of another Testament, or a "Stay tuned for Part 2!"
