Ok....engine died

Was revving it not even high at all by the throttle switch in engine may twice...Then the engine died, went to go in the truck check engine light was on, battery, oil light was on...

I fucked up.

 

what all did you do when you were under the hood?

all of those lights come on if your truck/car dies if the key is still on.

i know this because my car is a piece of shit and dies all the time haha

 

I rev'd the engine maybe one or twice for not even a second...and then boop.

 

i think he means he was under the hood and revved the engine up using the butterfly and it died.

 

curious as to why you were doing that though? what else were you doing? everything plays a factor.

oh yeah i cought that. but if your engine shuts off and your key is still all the way in the run position those lights will come on im fairly sure.

 

Should i try to start it back up or what, it's pretty hot.

No the engine is hot, i just started it back up, no lights came on and it seemed fine. What the hell happened?

 

maybe you fully closed the throttle?

 

could have sucked something in the fuel line that temperally (sp?) cut off fuel and shut the truck off. when the truck dies and the key is still in the run position all those lights come on. how hot is hot? like normal running temp hot or hotter than it should be?

your truck just died thats it lol. not sure why. need more details on how it acted. did it act like it ran out of fuel, or did it act like someone shut off the truck and died right away?

 

i have no idea what you were doing up there. Probly choked it out somehow. I dont know if you've ever stalled a truck before, but your dash lights will stay on until you turn the key off...

 

if the truck is running and the battery dies it will still run as long as the alternator is working
