I have a Canadian acces Cab TRD OR 2010. It originally came with a 4 leaf pack, but I was compaining also about rear end bottoming down when I haul my ATV in the bed with an extra heavy trailer to the hitch. Then Toyota was argu on the issue, I expalined and I told that I will came with a bed competely full of asphalt rouffing with about 1050 lbs. The manager finally approved my TSB without anymore proof.

I was the first one who did the TSB at my canadian dealer. The guy who change my leaf pack found the following: my stock 4 leaf pack have 1x the plus sign (+) on the top and front end of the leaf. The new TSB 4 leaf pack have 2x the plus sign (++) on the top and front of the pack. The plus and double plus sign (+, ++) are tagged in white on the black leaf.

I can garanty that the TSB pack 2x plus sign (++) is stiffer that my original 4 leaf pack (+) and it sit higher. I gainned another inch of list and it doN't bottom out on bump with I'm loaded.

Is someone else can check on the TSB leaf pack to confirm if they get the ++ model? Is someone else found the same thing as I did ?

In previous thread I found that some guy get more lift that other with the 4 leaf pack. Maybe this will explain. Thanks Martin

    Hey, good for you OP!
The dealer argued mine, too, but I'm going to check my leafpack, and try the same.
So sure, Canucks get the 4pack, but its not up to par. Hmmph.

I know that with the OME Dakar springs , a + sign means that the pack has slightly more arch than spec , just due to manufacturing differences , so perhaps this is the same .

They can stamp all the +++++ 's they want, springs are still shit..

NOT ONE of the stock leafsprings I rebuilt had a chance in Hell without the Ford/Chevy springs added

I know a lot of people complain about the leaf packs on the V6 models...but I've hauled more in my regular cab (1700 lbs) than most people in here have, and I didn't have any issues.

Oh I know OZ, just no one yet that has purchased a new (or newer) has asked the 64K question of Toyota with regards to age old TSB issues with springs that just go on & on...

But on the other hand maybe I should hope it NEVER gets rectified at the point of manufacturer.

It is after all putting a few $$$ in my pocket.....;)

The Toyota springs ARE crap , that's why I turfed my stock 4 leaf pack and got Dakars

I checked mine , just one X. I know it gave me quite a bit of lift. I added a 1" block to level it with the Fox 2.0 I put up front. Now my rear 2.0's are not long enough now plus the stiff ride on the road. I hate to think what they will be off road but I have to change something back there . I will be adding a tool box with quite a bit going in it so maybe that will help with the added weight back thereSprings are not stiff so I see no need to change them to get a better ride.

Forsure and the TSB is only an option that they use to satisfy unhappy customers under warranty huh? Are they much better? What do yall think about the heavy duty general springs? Do they sell Dakars with a low lift like 1"?
