With all due respect Charles is full of shit, I put 2 Ford springs under each side of my stock springs, have beat the hell out of them for a few months now & haven't lost any arc.... sorry for your issues on the Alcans....

My springs as of this past Monday on desert run, not great pic but you can clearly see my arc is fine & thats with 5 leafs

It was off of either late 80's or early 90's Ranger, using the stock 3 leaf config. I shortened the 2 leafs (off ranger) by about 7.5 inches, leaving the longer leaf 40.5" & the shorter one 33" respectively

Aren't the All-Pros an 11-leaf pack? I wonder how durable, non-sag resistant these are? At least they come with a 1-yr warranty.

i would send them back dude they are only a year old? how is an 8 leaf sagging already with light to moderate use in that amount of time???

idk what you could do to fix them but, it seems like it may be a defect of some sort in there heating and or arching of the leaf pack or maybe even a defect with the steel that they used.

i would call them back bro how much did those run you new? i don't think they are cheap.

wow thats awesome so you constructed your own leaf pack!

the ford spring are nice i had a 1989 ranger 4x4 that had original springs in the rear and the truck had over 200k on it and they where perfect. idk why why toyota can't make springs that are that tough lol. looks like you solved that issue though kudos to you :)

My new set has held up great. But as you can tell from the thread, the bottom 5 leaves of the leaf spring set are thicker than the original ones they sent me. I hope you get a set that has the thicker bottom leaves.

Yeah I hope so too. I sent this thread to JohnnyK. and hopefully he will say if Alcan has been shipping out thicker springs or not. Thanks for updating this thread.

Thats BS man! That's was a brand new pack and should have never happened! That much negatice arch is NOT normal!

I got there 3 leaf AAL and it sagged and buttoms out after less than a year. I'm not liking the quality of Alcan/Wheelers leafs!

Do you carry a heavy load daily or is the bed empty?

ΔΔ Who me? Empty bed 99% of the time! Probably off road half a dozen times and loaded the truck with light to med load 3-4 times in that year!

Sorry to hear this but what moron thinks a leaf pack that gives lift is going to not have positive arch? had my skyjacker 4pack leaves for 2 years and they are the same as the day i got them....wish i had heavier duty ones though...my 4 wheeler makes me do wheelies hah

If you truly want springs that last, you do one of two things.

    1) Build your own leaf packs from salvaged Ford or Chevy springs as 4WD suggests.

    2) Go to a local professional spring shop. Tell them what you want and they build them to your specs, lift, load carry. They build springs for Mack trucks, don't you think they can build ones for Tacomas?
