Read the bible, then reread the bible, then if you still have questions read the Book of Mormon then reread the Book of Mormon. Show some respect.

How does this answer the question the previous poster asked. Us reading and rereading the bible won't tell us why your church seems to be run like a business. He just wanted a legitimate answer. Instead you chose to answer like a little jerk. If you didn't want the questions to be asked then why did you start the thread?

    1. Not known be me but common speculation is they are in the Salt Lake City Temple, or taken by the angel Moroni.

    2. I haven't a clue! There should be SOMEthing out there I would think???

    3. There are suns, moons, and stars each representing a glory of heaven. (high, middle, low or Celestial, Terrestial, Telestial)

    4. Have you been in the Salt Lake temple? Anyways... this is common in most of our buildings, be it chapels, temples or anything else. We like to celebrate in the living Christ, not focusing on the suffering and His death(we still believe in the atonement and all of that)

    5. Visitors are not allowed to some areas because they are sacred and dedicated. (If a temple is just built/renovated they open them up to the public for tours, please attend one if you can!) Some people go crazy about us just because I am trying to answer questions on a truck forum, imagine what these individuals would do with our most sacred.

    6. I think I kinda explained this in question 5 but it is because they are dedicated and then sacred. Pictures aren't generally allowed after that. (we don't change everything around after that lol)

    7. Never heard of that before, but assuming it comes from the temple. Doubt it is "violent" as 80+ year olds go to the temple or join the church.

So idk where that is from!

Hope these help! and feel free to PM me more questions if/when this gets locked.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    1. Mormons do not "ship" the 16-20 year olds out. It is a highly personal decision. (one that I chose and I will be paying for, abt. 10 grand, to go the to Philippines)

    2. We believe in keeping the Sabbath day holy but still work on the sabbath when necessary (ex.1: My dad was in the Army and had to work on Sundays ex.2 this summer I worked as a gardener and had to water the flowers on Sunday or they would die)

    3. That is not true.

    4. Keep digging! ;)

    5. See ^^^^

    6. Richest? hmm well the bible also states a 10 percent tithing but hardly anyone realizes it. And it is NOT required, plenty do not pay tithing and are still members. And the poor are encouraged to pay tithing for the blessings and church Welfare systems are available when desperate/needy.

    Numbers 18:26
Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the Lord, even a tenth part of the tithe.

    Malachi 3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Whats a good way to indicate to mormon missionaries that you arent mormon, and pressing the issue of converting me will piss me off more? I've been in Utard for the last 2 years, and i still havent figured out a good way to do it, aside from walking around with a can of monster and a lit cig.

Big question; How do you feel about the LDS church creating various shell companies overnight, donating millions of dollars to Mitt Romney's campaign, and then making the companies disappear the next day? All of which is highly illegal, and fraudulent.

    1. "Please leave I am not interested." If they still stay around they are not respecting others wishes and rights  sorry :(

    2. Sounds bogus, if it is true then go through proper authority and take action. Please ;)

Ah caffeinated sodas. I drink mountain dew, crush, sprite, dr. pepper, etc. It is a personal choice. (some that don't consider it a "strong drink" and against our Word of Wisdom previously mentioned)
