Can you apply the same procedures to the front light including the fog lights?

Of course you can. Check the motor vehicle laws about the front lights though.

And it would diminish your light output, idk if you'd want that.

Didn't read all of this thread or everyones comments but a few heads up.
1: Blacking out your headlights is illegal in the us. don't do it.
2: If you tint your tail-lights, this paint although transparent, drastically decreases the light output, I'd reccomend not tinting your reverse light section of the tail-light if you do.

3: If your like me and you tint your tail lights and your rear windows are blacked out, at night, your vehicle is going to be annoying and hard as hell for the people driving behind you. Tinting your tail lights is illegal in california and is a meer fix-it ticket, BUT, if someone rear-ends you, and its completely there fault, they can and will blame it on your tinted tail-lights, no matter how badly there fault it was, they will win unless you have one HELL of an eye witness list. This has never happened to me luckily but I live amongst a family of police (father, brother, etc) if it's comes down to just their word vs. yours, you will lose.

I did 3 coats of the VHT shade and then 2 coats of Krylon Clear coat....and I got a ticket.
I was pulled over before and the cop said my tail lights were fine and didn't get me a warning, then I was pulled over again and the cop gave me a full out citation...not even a fix-it ticket!
    I'm taking him to court.
I just redid my tail lights and reduced it down to 2 coats which should be fine. There was still plenty of light coming out. He was a douchebag cop, so ya, I'll see him in court.

Depends on the cop, but you'll always be safer with just 2 coats of this stuff. Just FYI :)
