bed rug to flatten liner for sleeping

I've got one of those plastic liners that tough and matches the grooves that are in the metal bed..

I want a rug that will fit and fill this in to make in flat.

Idea?

I left the original message so that people know how silly it was. But apparently that 'liner' IS the bed. it's a composite bed. read below to learn more, like me!

 

1/4" or 1/2" Plywood cut to match the bed of the truck with indoor/outdoor carpet glued to it might be your best bet. Is it important to have it wrap up the bed sides?

So basically DIY oe go with a rubber liner that
T isn't so sleepably flat?

Or the plywood lined piece. Probably a good idea. Nothing after market? I'm lazy today.

 

I went with one over my Rhino lined bed for the same reason, as well as the spray liner is like crawling on pea gravel and all my cargo would slide forward unless strapped down when I would stop. All in all this was a great addition to the truck. Sleeping in the back, I made a bed out of a few stacked bed pads with a futon mattress, covered in urathane coated cordura. So no difference there but everyday use of the bed- I say rubber mat for me.

 

Will a bedrug fit a composite liner?

 

Still can't believe its not a metal bed under there..... why? Weight? Toughness?

 

Yes, Bedrug makes a liner specifically for our trucks. I'm not sure how they are to sleep on though as in if you'd be able to feel the ridges below the rug.

 

It won't rust.

 

I have the full bed rug liner in mine, the floor has ridges that smooth out the floor. You can actually crawl around/sleep on it. Love the bedrug, I made some blocks with velcro on them I can put anywhere to help secure cargo also.

I got mine from autoanything.com search for a coupon, I get them all the time.

 

I trimmed and placed these under a cheap indoor/outdoor (rubber-backed)mat. Makes the bed cozy enough to sleep, easy in and out, and insulates.

Rust and also bedsides are replaceable like front fenders if minor damage occurs and not bad enough to ruin the tub.

 

I'm gonna go with a bedrug now that I have gotten the composite bed idea into my wee brain.
