At first I thought it was a lose d-ring as one of them was looser compared to others so, I removed it hoping that would solve this annoying problem. Nope, no bueno :( this rattling is driving me nuts while driving. Anybody have any ideas where it's coming from?

Hmmm.. your shaking the bed right? Is It only when you do it from that side or does It happen from anywhere? Could be a bed bolt to the frame. Or to that one fender.

DAMN! That is loud and very annoying!! i would have to agree with ^^ sounds like the bed is loose? Maybe a loose mounting bolt on the top of your shock? Does it come from both sides? it looks like your shaking the bed side to side, does it make the noise when you jump up and down on it?

Not sure. I've only tried it from that side.

Sean is there any chance that the tracks for your bed rail system are loose?

The tie downs or the tracks? Tie downs, no. How can I check the rails?

If you look inside the rails that the D rings slide back and forth on you will see a series of Torx head screws which secure the rails to the composite bed. Check those for tightness.

I'll check again but I doubt it. The noise is closer to the cab of the Taco

Sorry for the useless suggestions Sean, just love to see you find it. Squeaks and rattles drive me crazy!

If the bed seems secure, Check everything "attached to the bed" - ie bed compartments, I see you have a TRD, so check the power assy. unit mounted to where the passenger bed compartment would be, spare tire below might be shifting as you shake, bed rails as mentioned, bed toprail caps, fenders/fender flares/supports, etc., etc.. Might need a buddy to shake while you inspect... Good luck let us know if you figure it out...

Also, there is/was an issue with some having the "metal bed supports" in the rear by the tailgate area crack and separate between the metal and composite material. This could make some noise, just check the area for stress cracks to see if anything pops out...

No spare but the bolt that would normally secure a spare may be loose?
Cool, I'll ck what you suggested when I can.
