Need Help with satoshi mod Grill?

Hey guys. I have looked at all the theards about this and no help. Im so confused. I ordered a partsgeek grill and im gonna paint it black factory color. Now I know I have to cut the grill cross member out so there nothing there. I have seen people fiberglass it and stuff and thats too many steps for me. I wann order a www.customcargrill.com black mesh. if I just cut the grill cross member out, can i just put the mesh in place and bolt it down. or would i need to fiberglass it. How was the custom car grill.com mesh stay in place. does it just bolt on or zip tires or what. Thanks guys.

 

Ok great. How does it bolt on. Does it come with bolts. Sorry im such a noob at this.

 

It's a lot more work then just bolting it on. In order to do the satoshi mod you have to fiberglass/bondo the holes where the cross member was after u cut it of your going to have 4 big holes on the side. Then your going to have to epoxy bolts to the back side to attach the grill. It's a lot of work but it you are willing and patient you will have a nice grill in the end.

I don't think anyone here has done the satoshi....

 

I have seen people do the mod without fiberglassing it but i cant remember how it was done. I just want the black mesh on the front of the grill. i dont want it deep inside of it on the back/

Ok thanks. Grill craft is 200 lol. Custom car grills has black mesh for 40 and it cut for out grills so I assume that would work too. 40 is better then 200 lol

 

I think I k.ow the one your talking about. The dude used the bottom side of the cross member and cut it up to fit the holes and used epoxy to set them. I'm trying to find that thread but not having luck

I don't have the grill. Coming in on Friday. I saw that thead. I don't care about the holes in the back. I just want to install the mesh in the front of the grill. I'm confused now haha. I just wanna cut the cross member out and install the black mesh in the front that's all.
