different color hood and roof...whats yalls opinion???

OK so im torn on this. I have been seeing alot of tacos on here that have a different color hood and roof and would like to do mine. I was thinking black or a charcol grey to match my rims. Opinions please and pics help too thanks!!!

 

do it with vinyl so if you dont like it, you can peel it off. otherwise, do it and see how it looks.

If you wrap it in Vinyl, you might as well get it painted.. Getting wrapped isn't going to be any cheaper.. Only thing is that you can peel it off when you're done with the look..

Wrapping a hood and roof would be very simple and thus not that expensive. Things like doors and fenders get expensive where lots of cutting is involved for things like windows and door handles.

 

is it like sheets of vinyl??? whats it called???

OP ... at the end of the day it is your truck ... as long as you like it, go for it.

 

I am all for personalizing, but keep in mind that if you paint it, it will seriously hurt your trade-in value. Only do it if you have no plans of selling it anytime soon.

 

I would have a hard time sanding down and painting a perfectly fine factory finish for a different look myself. Get some carbon wrap...

 

I wouldn't... The roof is one thing and might look ok, but I think the mis-matched hood will look like the truck was in an accident and the owner just never cared enough to color match the affected parts. How about using silver for the lower valance center section and then do the roof if you must? I'd leave the hood alone.

 

I think a black roof on a white taco or red taco looks excellent.
