I'm a team rider for Icelantic. What do you want to know? Good carving ski, good flex. If you're in colorado I'd consider the nomad or even the keeper

I was reading on the website that there are good for tele skiers, and thats what id mount on them. Iv got a good buddy with the nomads and he loves them in powder, but says there are not the greatest on groomers or hard pack. Im just learning to tele, so im not sure i need something super fat now, in the future ill go with the keeper or shaman for the big powder days, but now I want something that is good in the resorts as well as some back country. I was skiing some Atomics (the ones that broke) and they are 84mm wide at the boot, so thats why I was leaning towards the pilgrim. Does anyone demo icelantics with a tele set up?

Full list of demo tour dates at icelanticboards.com. The nomad is good and the sft would be better for tele. My 189 keepers have a shorter radius than the 181 nomad. I ride my keepers as an everyday groomer all Mtn ski. Since receiving the gypsy last winter I'm stepping down to a 178 keeper as my groomer/tree/marginal pow days and keeping the gypsy as my big day skis. I spend time touring on both.
If you're learning to tele the pilgrim is a great option. I like the ski and often play around on them when helping at demos. I sent a pair to my dad on the east coast this fall.

What's your take on the Seekers? I gave them a flex at SIA and nearly scoffed, I don't care if you're Julian Carr, those seem far stiffer that necessary even if you do happen to be lawn-darting 50 footers? and the amount of camber?!....I'm withholding serious judgments till I ski them, of course....but they are unusual

On a separate note, conditions at Taos did not suck recently....

Haven't seen them in person yet so I'm going with "no comment" I should have my pair of next years keepers this week. I like the shorter length for the days i'm choosing this ski but Kinda thinking I should've gone with the new nomad rocker. It's rough having to pick out of a 5+ pair quiver everyday. :D I'm a big fan of the gypsy. It's been slaying the shitty snow pack this year and keeping me on top and out of the lurking rocks and debris. I'll get back with a review as soon as I get a chance to ride the seeker and rkr

Looks like this year for me might not be good. Another knee AND hip surgery in the works. ARGH!!!

But since NYCO started it I thought I would throw this up here as well.

Man I hope I heal quick.

I see some of us waking from summer hibernation now that September is here. Let's hope for a real ski season this year. 19 years skiing CO and I never saw anything like last year (and hope I never see it again). Ullr!!

Im in Loveland CO. So I know it'll be about 2 hrs to go anywhere. Im an Intermediate, only skied in PA really. Wife is a beginner. Would liek to go less crowds and long groomers. Ive been told to checkout Keystone, Loveland, and Copper. The EPIC pass is like %$400-500 which seems like a pretty good deal.

I ski WP/MJ most of the time. I can't deal with I70 drive and the tunnel. Snow is usually as good or better. If you are only going to go a few times 4 packs are the way to go. Here is the link for WP and Copper 4 packs http://www.skicolorado.com/Four-Pass.aspx
