SLiME

Has anyone ever used this stuff?

I know some of the tire places use it but ive never seen a common person use it.

Did it work like they said it would?

 

We put it in bicycle tires for years with good results. But I dont think its good in car tires because of the speed and it can cause issues with balancing.

 

Everybody I know puts it in their ATV tires. Have been on trails where an ATV without SLIME got a flat and the ones with it didn't. May be a coincidence but it's good enough for me

 

The lawn equipment place I was a mechanic for used that stuff to plug holes in riding tractor tires. It works. But DAMN I hated busting a tire off a wheel and having that nasty ass stuff pour out all over the place.

And I don't know how exactly the TPMS system works on Toyotas, but if the sensor is in the wheel, that crap is gonna gum it up but good.

 

Well one their ad in Off-roading Adventures they said it WOULDN'T mess with the TMPS

 

It'll still work, but God help you if you ever gotta replace it.

Use it in my mt. bike, works great!

 

I have used Slime in my ATV trailer tire (slow leak)...no issues with throwing off the balance. Also used it in my mountain bike tubes.

 

Seems like it would be better for anything that is NOT street legal.

 

i used it in my last tacoma never had a minutes trouble never even had to air the tire after that (except regular checks) and it was a pretty quick leak but my last truck didn't have the TPMS on it either. used it in everything else that has inflatable tires also works great

 

Use this stuff for mountain bikes or atv. It's way better than slime.

we use slime in golf cart tires, and i have used it in lawn mower tires, go kart tires and such, but i doubt i'd ever use it in a car or truck tire.

 

Specialized Airlocks are better. Slime breaks down and is useless after a couple of months.
