Anyone previously gotten their AAL installed professionally? I dont have any 4x4 lift shops near me. Would a regular shock installer be willing to do this?

Anyone that has gotten this done, please chime in? Also, how much did it cost? I asked a local mechanic about getting shocks installed, he quoted $50 for the two rears, but I haven't heard back about getting the add-a-leaf installed. Im not even sure they know what I am talking about.

you possibly think of maybe doing it yourself?? Don't really have to be that mechanically inclined and you could learn a thing or two about your own truck you know.:)

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
Any place that deals with shocks, etc. should be willing to install this...

but you should try yourself... it's easy.

Do you need replacement U-bolts to do the AAL or do the stock ones hold the extra leaf just fine. Just got a quote from my local mechanic. Said it would be $300 total including tax. I think thats a rip off since I know it takes about an hour per side so should only be 2 hours labor. I called them out on it and I will see what the verdict is. I am willing to pay about $100 to get them done professionally as I dont have a garage. I would love to see the video.

i added mine myself, 3" it was very simple. i had never done it before n it took me about an hour or so per side i did have to get new u-bolts.

Post a pic of how much thread is left on your U bolts so I can see if an AAL will fit. Driver side should take an hour, passenger side only 20 mins.

remember to C clamp the existing leaf pack so you dont have the headache of attempting to re align those

And when you remove the center pin, use a 6" long 1/4" extension to keep the hole lined up.

Im in kent, I installed my own. In about 4 hours. thats only cause i didnt clamp the suckers. If youre in the area, i can help out. Otherwise, it isnt that hard to do it yourself.

I cant remember if my aal came with new ubolts or not, but i dont remember buying new ones for my taco when i put the aal on.
