Thanks. It has worked well so far. I dont have the cash to throw down on what I ultimately want. But someday i might.

i'm a lil old school.. always liked the look of the 80's model chevy push bar.
problem... they don't make one for a 2nd gen taco. if anyone has mounting instructions, or pictures of how a bull bar mounts to the frame i would greatly appreciate it. i'm wanting to build me a push bar but need the technical mounting for a starting point,. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

nice, but pricey. i bought a miller elite for around 280 and the fucker glitches once and a while when tig welding , never a problem with the ole Harbor freight helmet.overall i never had a problem with the HF autodarkening helmets, but the window is a little on the small side.

Yeah my miller gives me issues sometimes. Just figured it was time for a new one Plus we use the same ones at work and the welders absolutely love them.

Its nice having my taxes come in going to buy a miller diversion 180 and a new 3 phase MIG welded.

Hey man..your bender doesn't walk around when you are bending?

I have a JMR..same style as yours..but it walks around when I'm bending 1.25" dia. tubing..i have to wedge it up against the house to get any bends goin..

If your not going with a ram powered bender it will need to be bolted down. Its to hard to bend something with a free moving stand when you half to use it manually that's just my experience with benders.

Its shitty my local welding shob lost there contract with JD Square because they dont spend enought with them. Now if i want new die's i get to order them online.

    no press break?

you'll have to bend it around the edge of a table or something. Clamp it down real good with some C-clamps (or you could tack it down) and use plenty of heat right at the bend. You won't get a nice clean bend though without a press break.

That is the key, if you try to make a bend fast it will kink.

Here is my HF creation, HF bender, HF Notcher, HF welder, HF Auto-darkening Hood :D:

Is DOM needed for a bedcage? I am making mine out of 1.75 .120 wall but do I need DOM or will HREW work for a bedcage?

Just got a quote and HREW is $3.16/ft and DOM is $4.50/ft. (1.75x.120) I think for the extra the DOM is worth it. Are the prices usually that close?
