I was obviously speaking of this in general (all the reasons they might replace the thermostat), not just this one incident. That's why broken hoses were included, which clearly isn't the case here.

and for all the assholes wondering why i didn't get under my truck its not because I don't know what the fuck I'm looking at. It's because there was more shit I had to deal with outside of that being that my truck has 2k miles on it. Sick of people insulting me, all I wanted was some info from people willing to help. And next time I'll hop right under my overheated truck that has a hole in the radiator right where my face would go... Very smart

OP Try and ignore the negative Nancy's. There are a few in every bunch. Some people aren't happy if they aren't being butt holes.

Its funny, I'm following this thread because I'm wondering the outcome. Some shitheads follow to talk smack. Screw them. If they really aren't interested, they don't have to follow this thread

Just because I don't agee with low-riders, I'm not going to rally the troops to go to the street truck threads and bash away.

And yes I'm posting from a phone while drinking beer

this whole thing stinks like shit to me. Did you overheat? or did the engine blow causing the cooling system to over pressurize and push coolant out the overflow? When you go into "limp" mode, the truck still runs, it doesn't die. i think something doesn't add up here.

The radiator was punctured, the coolant leaked out, the truck overheated, then died as I pulled off the freeway. So I assumed the engine is toast because they started it at the dealer and mass amounts of smoke came from the tailpipe

I just got done reading all of the pages and I am lost :/

If the truck was leaking, how could you not see it smoking in the rear view mirror? or also the heat would have stopped working long before the truck would have had any issue's

I have had a broken rad before offroading, I know the truck does weird stuff, but i also know it would have been steaming or something.. If you live where its cold then there would have been no more heat ..

I did not see any smoke out of the hood at any point, nor could I see out of my rear view mirror because it was loaded with two dirtbikes

Are you just pulling our legs?

The weather in CA is like 60 - 70ish.. you would have had your heater on :/ No Coolant = not heat.....

If you didn't notice that, no offense, you shouldn't be working on your own truck anymore till you learn some more basics...

Sorry not tiring to be a ass or something, just this post i think is a Hoax

Okay lol let me make this more clear... My temperature gauge did not work, I did not see smoke from the hood or tailpipe. There may have been smoke, but I was on the highway so maybe it was being blown away I don't know. I could not see the tailpipe because of my two motorcycles in te back of the bed... I pulled off of the freeway and as I slowed the car died. I did not try to restart it. When it stopped, fluid was still draining from the radiator onto the floor. There was 7 people there (2 with me and 4 in the car I was following none of which saw smoke, all of which saw the fluid and smelled the engine.
