911 good move. Have a nice cup of coffee and try to relax, no sleep for you or the wife tonight.
Try to relax, think about what you did right and what you could have done better.

Glad your ok. Chances are he wont come back, since he longer has the element of surprise.

This actually inspired me to make a panic word with the girlfriend. Same word that causes my dog to go into rage mode because she thinks shes gonna get a stick to demolish.

Thugs and trash are everywhere. Every morning I'm waking up to FSU PD alarts about someone getting robbed on campus. The latest trend is to walk up to someone and ask them to use their phone, then grab it and haul ass.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I'll definitely be thinking about what I did right and wrong. Glad I have an alarm system, though we don't keep it on while we're awake and home. VERY glad that I always keep doors locked. We would have met in the middle of the living room if my front door hadn't been locked.

I'm not sure the exact laws in Missouri but here in NC, according to my CCP class you can rain down on someone "attempting" to gain entry into your establishment. I'd hate to test the law on a innocent person but if someone is putting weight towards my door and I'm close by....

Glad you're okay. I've got one question about the panic word (no I don't want to know it). What's the procedure for your wife? What is she suppose to do if you say it? What do you do if she says it?
