Is there a 24hr Fitness near you? I paid $315(?) for a Pre-paid 2 year membership from Costco. Came down to $13.88/month :)

Sorry door the misunderstanding. I meant an actual 24 hour Fitness...the name of the gym.
Most deals you can find online for $25+ a month or just do what I did.

You paid it all up front? I'm going to see if they will cut a deal on doing something like that. Here is the website for the gym in my town.
    http://www.anytimefitness.com/

As for my work out today rather than doing a straight up mile run I just did 1 lap around a 100x60 yard soccer field as a warm up. Then did 2 laps where I sprinted down the 60 yard part and a slowish jog on the 100 for a total of about 7 minutes of running. I then set up 2 trash cans 30 yards apart did 1 minute of sprints between them, jog for 1 minute. After I did lunges, karaoke's facing left and right for a total of 4 runs, high knees, butt kickers, backwards sprints, high jumps. After that I did line jumps 1 minute with 1 minute of rest, cris crossed, high knees, and "jumped the river. In total did about an hour's worth of cardio. To finish I did one lap and 1 minute of burpies.

My breathing is getting better and the soreness is working it's way out of my legs but I'm still working them to where they fell like jello at the end of the work out. Do you guy's have any suggestions on diet or any good websites that will help me gain a better understanding of what to eat/not to eat, I try not to eat junk food but sometimes it's all I have until I can make the 30 minute drive home after classes. Hardee's (Carl Jr's minus the Mexican style food for you west coasters from what I understand) and Subway is really all I have available near my campus. Supplements?

It's what we used to do when conditioning for baseball and I'd drop fat weight like crazy. I'm working on getting into a gym and when I do, hopefully soon, I'll cut it back and put some lifting in with it.

Put some squats or push ups in there to add some strength and muscle building in there too.

    Well I'm back!

Doc took some more x-rays and said my foot is healing up nice. He gave me the green light to weight-bear on my foot again :woot:

It's been 2 weeks, and I'm gonna start back at the gym with some low-impact cardio (elliptical), then ease back into the weights this week

    I'm jacked!

    Good news klip.

I currently work out at the gym at my condo complex. It's empty all the time. Only ever one person ever in there. And they do short stuff. I am not looking forward to going back to a public gym. I like having the freedom to mess around and try new things without looking like 'I have no idea wtf I'm doing'.

Got a gym membership last night, started my first workout tonight. Gonna try and take a picture tonight or tomorrow and follow progression. My goal is to get back into shape and tone up a bit. I don't want to get huge, but want to get to the point where at the lake when I take my shirt off people can tell I work out.

I have been told that your chest is the hardest thing to build up. Is that true?

But here's a picture of me now on the far left. (reference for my body type) I'll update pictures better here shortly for progression purposes.

No on chest. Everybody responds differently. For example, upper body has never been an issue for me, but lower body I have to beat it to shit to respond as you should be doing with any workout. :)

Just try different exercises and hit it from different angels and see what works best for you. Good luck.

I am really trying to grow, too. ive always been the skinny kid/kid that weighs the least. really want to get rid of that. people are beginning to not see me that way quite as much.

Im trying to eat a ton, and working out at least every second day. i do believe i can put on weight. i used to sit at between 138/140. After working out for about 3 months, i was sitting at 150. i know i have i can grow but i think my problem is diet. im super picky. i had a year off from working out as i was being a lazy bastard. now im back at it. had sunk down to about 144. in the last 3 weeks, my weight has gone up to a steady 155. im moving up in weight as i can. trying to mix it up a fair bit to keep my body from getting used to the same routine every time. i want to have a steady increase in the amount of weight i use. when i dumbell press, i use 45's. started at 35's 3 weeks ago. going to move up to 50 pretty quick here. im trying to avoid hitting a plateau this early. i feel 50 is may be too much to move around. i may have trouble getting into position for the 50's.(moving the weight from the rack, to the laying down position, ready to lift). guess all i can do is giver my best shot eh? i dont have a buddy to do a bench press with, however i could do it myself as long as i dont go too heavy. that may be easier than doing the dumbell press.

I gotta get my pics up... I have been doing crossfit for about 2 months now. Im 12 lbs up since I started, though it looks like about 3. I feel like I've gained some muscle, but I've also put a little weight at the love handles due to how much I have been eating. Motivation is at an all time high though... im getting through the workouts much easier and im almost keeping up with the best in the gym.

Look at this guy! Hey progression is in the eye of the beholder, like sean said, gotta try many different angles and workouts to figure out what your body responds to the most.

Do squats work the calves out sufficiently? Or should I do seperate calve exercises? I'm just going for a general fitness routine.

Yeah, good advice. I guess I'll just need to see what works best for me!

i dunno what my body type is. How does one go about finding that out?

You going to have to come to the gym with me. Bradley says you can be a hell of a workout partner.
