    I wired mine to the aux fuse in the cab, and grounded to the body right there and it has worked just fine. Intended to go back and do it proper when I had time but it has worked so good I'm not gonna bother.

    when my truck is off, the cig lighters do have power when the key is turn to aux or acc (wahtever one it is.) and i have two 12v hook ups in the front so im good to go.
