Converting non-TRD to TRD? e-diff locker?

What would I have to do to put an e-locking diff on the rear? Does the solenoid just bolt up? Would I have to replace the internals? The entire axle?

BTW, I missed out on a 98 with 150k miles 4WD manual transmission, silver, WITH a TRD supercharged for $6980 D:

i believe you would have to get the whole axle....just get a arb

Out of my price range either way. I wish I could find a real TRD with 4x4 manual V6. :/

I can't stand how people buy the one I need because they are afraid of getting stuck when leaves are on their driveway.

its a locker....goes inside of the diff.

its a little bit more involved than just bolt on. and its a air locker so you need a air compressor somewere on your truck. my truck is a 2000 4x4 trd offroad with 150k miles

Where is the best place to place the air pump? Where they say to put it?

 

lol lots of people have put them in a tool box, under the bed, inside a bumber i mean you can pretty much put them wherever you want. personally i like the toolbox idea

EDIT.....if your having a hard time finding the right truck just wait a few weeks....its better to get the truck that you want and that you can count on

 

Which is why I pass up on underpriced trucks, ones with cosmetic problems (that are usually overpriced for some stupid reason), and high mileage trucks. I've found countless trucks with what I want/need but had like 250k miles
