60+ year old thread.

we have 2 in the laundry room with you have to go thru the laundry room from the garage. one is full but the other only has 1 key on it. but they just don’t hang them up. i don’t keep my key their i keep it in my room.(i have a chair i tend to throw key wallet and knife in when i’m at home. always in same place unless dad comes when i’m sleeping and just takes it. when mom has all the other keys. oh and tundra and scion both have 2 sets of keys.

 

Where we stayed this weekend,, 100 year old house down by the pond they lived in it for the 2 years it took to build this.

 

We have a winner!

 

This made me laugh...I have a rule: If it parks (lives) in my garage or driveway, I have a key for it on my key ring.

Makes for a big key ring, and I don't use key fobs/alarm things or what not. I don't even have the fob alarm thing for my Taco (my wife has it on that mass of stuff she carries in her purse).

I could spend some time here! ^^^^^ Very nice!

 

My purse and keys live in a Polish Stoneware rectangular baker, on a cabinet in my room.

Evening All...first pickup I had was a Ford f150 with no engine...pulled a 302 outta my 68 Cougar and dropped it in (with a few modifications)...drove it till the body mounts rotted out...since then I had another ford then a 91 Chevy, a 93 Dodge Ram(first automatic P Up I owned) then another Ford to replace the Ram after I got rear ended and it was totaled. Traded in the Ford on the Tacoma and haven't looked back....

I always keep my keys in my pocket...know where they are all the time...now the missus, thats another story...puts 'em down where ever and then runs around late for work looking for them...same with her cell phone...I call it so she can find it at least 2 times a week...damn I hope she don't forget where she put me...Ken

We have some of that...it was very popular when we were stationed in UK.

 

A friend had a bunch of it... I only have a couple of pieces bought at the bx here

Growing up in our house the keys were always on a key hook in the kitchen. You always knew where the keys to the garage and shed were, along with the keys to the gas pump. Some of the younger members were not around for the gas rationing of the 70's. My parents solution was a gas tank by the garage.

 

We have a wooden tray that sits on the island counter in the kitchen.

One of the bennies of being older. Cost is not that much of a factor that it was when we were in our 20's.

Now days it is more about liking the item and less about the cost.
