I bought a 2009 PreRunner with 16" rims(aftermarket). I don't care for them. Looking at some 2012 Tacoma stock 17" rims with 265 70 17 tires. Any reason these shouldn't fit my truck? I think it just has the base PreRunner suspension. Thanks.

I think the main reason you cant go much bigger is the fender clearance when your off road, I think a 3in lift will let you put 32s with out any rubbing. I have the sport package that came with 17 in wheels, I think they look pretty good. Good luck on your build!

You can run 265/70/17 tires on stock Sport rims with no lift , no rub

OP , what size tires are you running now ? 265/70/16 ?

ProComp has the stiffest spring rate of any of the lift coils

    Haven't heard of the tires

Well, the guy had 235 60 16's on it when I bought it. They are WAY to little. I had to look past them when deciding to buy the truck, knowing I would change them later. It is supposed to have 245 75 16's. Saw a guy selling the 2012 wheels on Craigslist. I like the aluminum stock rims, just want to make sure they'll work before I pull the trigger on 'em.

I got the 17" wheels. They look awesome and there is no rub at all. Thanks for the help!
