    Well...

    I wasn't there. Thus can't really rule or judge, but based off the summary of things, it may be justified in that jurisdiction. In my county, we are now limited in when and how we deploy our tasers. Our usage of the taser has been limited to deployment when the suspect is demonstrating active aggression towards the Deputy.

    If this was in my jurisdiction, it appears we have a violation of False Reporting to Law Enforcement (lying about who you are), not to mention a possible charge of Hindering.

    We used to be able to deploy the taser after failure to comply to verbal direction, but I think some officers and deputies went a little tazy crazy, thus changes in policy were made.

    tazy crazy? Yeah kinda what I was thinking, the dude didn't make any aggressive moves towards the officer, it doesn't look good to be tasing people for lying....though I could see doing that to all politicians......live on TV.....yeah the fucking ratings would be huge!

    I like the look but seems a bit much for a badge...would have made a cool shoulder patch. IMHO :cool:
