So i'm upgrading from 16" SR5 port-installed wheels (which actually have the steels sensors) to 17" TRD Sport wheels. I am going to either rotate the sensors or use straps to get my sensors to work with the 17" Alloys. But will I still have to make a trip to the dealer b/c of the change in wheel size? I wouldn't think so but I've gotten some conflicting info.. Thanks

Nope, pressure is pressure. I went from a 16" wheel to a 17" wheel, no issues, just hit the TPMS reset button.

thanks Pugga.. i was looking for someone who actually went through this. i work at a collision repair shop and i know how much of a pain these things can be to deal with.. just hoping i can avoid it on mine. Looks like I should be good to go.

I went from tje 16" Baja alloy to the 17" TRD Sport wheels though, I didn't have to deal with the sensor angle issue going from the steel wheel to the alloy. Functionally, it was a seamless swap as far as the sensors are concerned.
