Hey guys, first post - been researching here awhile, seems like a great forum with tons of info.
Bought last week from Koons in Annapolis, MD:
2012 TRD Sport Pkg, double cab, long bed with tow pkg.
couple things I did not need but were on the truck already:
    - rubber floor mats/door sill protector
    - locking lug nut set
    - DRL's
    - bolt on exhaust tip (had 150 miles on it when removed, anyone want it?)
Sticker was $32,860, I paid $31,000 before rebate, taxes, trade, etc
I am thinking I am going to start a thread with some thought/ideas/questions, etc here shortly. 550 miles so far & I love it!

Correct me if I am wrong... but this doesnt list model/packages, does it?

It just lists if someone bought a new single cab shortbed base tacoma, it will list that as the price for ALL tacomas in general.

So my brother who's been in the car business for 30 years told me that's what they call people like me at the dealership. I went to Edmunds.com, wanting to purchase an entry level Tacoma for my small business, per his instructions. I queried all dealers within 200 miles of San Jose, CA with my specific request. I'd found the car nearby at a dealership and made the mistake of talking with a salesman (say commission). They told me 17,300 was their lowest deal and also their Costco price.

Within an hour of my query, I had 2 dealers within 50 miles coming in $1000. less for the same exact truck. I got a call from a Sacramento dealership, who had one on special for $2000. less. I drove up there the next morning and bought it for $15,488 before taxes.

It was a pleasure letting the weasels fight over the rat from a distance. I was dreading the buying experience after years of having to become the assh*le from hell when I need a new vehicle.

Very nice man I have learned this to over the years, I go to the dealership to look and drive the vehicle never buy it right then there. Deal with them all over either the phone or email. BTW you got an outstanding deal!

I was able to get a Silver Doublecab 4x4 6speed with SR5 and Tow for $26,020 last night from Wesley Chapel Toyota.

I did the same thing and just told the guys I would head over to their largest competitor (Sun Toyota) if they were not able to find the truck I wanted at the price I wanted.

I did come in with all of my homework done already though. I had prearranged financing, contacted both dealers with numbers and had a list of options, fees and charges ready.

First Post Guys, I've been lurking for close to a year.

Purchasing a 2012 this April, how does this deal sound:

    2012 Double Cab 4x4 V6
    TRD Off Road
    Tow package
    DRL
    Floor Mats
    Lifetime Warranty
    Nautical Blue Metallic

    $31,444 before Tax and Title

    Is this a decent deal?

Always changing...but there is no place like home.
    Vehicle:
2012 Nautical Blue DCLB TRD Sport
Black tube steps, Skid plate, Bilstein 6112's front and 5160's rear, Bakflip F1 folding cover, EGR raingaurds, All weather floor mats, AFE pro dry filter, BFG 265 70 R 17 KO2's.
I got nearly the same truck but the TRD sport DCLB. The long bed is usually about $500 more, but the Off road package is more $$ than the sport. Mine, with all dealer fees and a few extras like Tow pkg, DRL, mats, tip, wheel locks and spare tire locks (don't care about the last three, but they were on it when we found it) It's hard to find the blue. Price was $32,490. I think you got a decent deal, but I would try to get some of those fees included in the price, like the doc fee. I don't have to pay tax in Fl, so $32,490 out the door pretty much and $80 to transfer my license plate.

    NAV + Entune
    Tow Package
Carpet floor mats and door sill protectors.
    DTRL

    MSRP $35,435
+ $800 Dealer installed "Protection package". Some headlight flim, door edge guards, fabric protection and nitrogen filed tires.

    MSRP $36,235

Paid $32,200 before tax/title. Right in line with the truecar.com dealer cost.
