The first choice is to "armchair mechanic" the problems folks bring to the board, but since the poster didn't give enough facts to make that promising, many seem to have piled onto the "smells fishy; more to this story than meets the eye" bandwagon.

unrelated to the topic, but still sucks... my access literider should be coming in the mail today.. now i have to wait to install it lol. i almost forgot i ordered it amidst all this other stuff going on

Got the truck back! Seems to be running good, also got the radiator. Gonna take it out of the box and look at it tonight! And I'm glad it's not that hot where I live gotta love so cal

 

Did you get the compression numbers from the dealership? I would absolutely NOT accept the truck back without knowing the compression numbers.

 

I'll have to ask for them. Definately forgot to check on that. Truck is running good though

Maybe the fact the engine DID turn off, and didn't run on after you shut the ignition off was an indicator that it never got to that "fatal" point. I hope your engine is alright, if it sounds good, then it probably is good.
