So, i have a few question for the all knowing tacoma gods.

When i bought my truck, it had one of those stupid 50$ roof racks from wally world. I hate it and want it gone. Problem is, i dont hve the dang keys for the locks, and they look like they are jury rigged to the top. Its like the protectve strips between the rack and roof are painted over. PICS soon. they arnt connected to the factory strips, in fact, the strips are gone. How can i remove them without causing damage to my baby?

    Second Question:

Does anyone know if any of the factory SUV ( highlander, 4 runner, seqouia) roof racks are compatible with the Double cab tacoma? I dont wanna spend Bookoo $ on one ( time to search junkyard), and i dont wanna have to drill into the top of my truck.

    Suggestions are greatly appreciated

so, i took the roof rack off. I took a knife, and cut the rubber on the bars to wiggle the bars out. then, i used goo gone and a piece of autobody sand paper and my sog multitool to remove the liguid cement that was holding it down. then, i noticed that whoever put the damn rack on actually screwed the damn thing into my roof. Damnit.. so i sanded down the hole. filled it with locktight an painted over it with dupe le color oe super white paint. DONE:):D

As for your second question, why don't you look for a used stock Tacoma rack?
