The best way I have done it is by using a razor blade at a close angle to the sticker to get the bulk of it off. Then I used some of my wife's nail polish remover to get the excess gunk off. It worked well, and did not destroy the paint. That was on a 1982 VW Caddy (Rabbit Pickup). The paint on your tacoma is much stronger than that... :)

I would avoid taking a blade anywhere near paint! Leave truck out in sun on a warm day or gently and carefully use a hair dryer to warm up sticker. Use FINGERNAILS to lift edges and just slowly peal it off. May be a little stickum residue which WD-40 or goof-off will remove. Clean and wax area afterwards.:)

Great advise. BTW, steam should help peel it off too.

3M makes an adhesive remover that works well. It's sold at stores that sell supplies to body shops and detailers.

    supercharger, ARE series 2 lid.
best way to remove and also the safest is either your hair dryer or a heat gun. wd-40 will remove the sticky residue without scratching the paint. Take this advice from a detailer who does this often.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
agreed..heat gun and fingernails to pull it off. then i used some of the pink lysol or windex multisurface cleaner and a paper towel. the adhesive came right off.
