I have had a lot of problems with my truck from the day i bought it. I just want to know if anyone else has had these issues.

1.) Lots of vibration at 35 mph when the engine shifts into overdrive.
2.) At 7400 miles i had both the speakers in the passenger door go out.
3.) At 13000 miles i had the air condition blower motor make a ticking noise and then go out.
4.) At 18000 miles got water in the headlight and had to have it replaced.
5.) At 22000 miles i had the rear differential replaced because of noise.
6.) I am currently at 24500 miles and toyota told me i need another rear end.

I baby my truck and never offroad or tow. All items above were covered under the warranty, but just wondering if anyone else is having as many problems as i have had. I feel like i live at the dealership. I don't think i will ever buy another toyota.

91,000 Km (56,544 mi), and I've only had 2 issues with the truck.

    1) The blower motor. Just had my fourth one put in this morning.
    2) The paint sucks. You sneeze on it, and it chips.

    Lots.
At 35k I had my charcoal canister get replaced cause it cracked or something.

At 66k I had a front diff actuator be replaced. (This is actually a fairly common problem)

    Both were covered under warranty.

Maybe you got a lemon :(

2008 here with 61K miles not a single major issue.

Only minor thing would be that darn squeaky blower motor, but I just got used to it.

Statistically the 2008 Taco is more reliable than 2007 models.

JDPower 3-year reliability ratings for 2008 models (results published in 2011):
    http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings/dependability-ratings-by-category/midsize-pickup/

By contrast, the 2007 Taco (results published in 2010) had 4 stars overall and didn't make top-three in the midsize segment.
    http://www.jdpower.com/autos/articles/2010-Vehicle-Dependability-Study-Results/page-3/

Yes, the Frontier is as bad as the Dakota, and worse than the Ranger.

I am currently on my third rear end in 24,000 miles. How many times til the lemon law comes into play? Just wondering because this is getting on my nerves. Toyota says it is covered under warranty every time, but it is very time consuming to go to the dealership and then go back because they have to order the whole assembly. It keeps making a super loud whining noise when I go over 50 mph. 2008 reg cab 4x2

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Wow, that's too bad. Sounds like someone can't set the gears up. I'd start a file with your State Attorney Generals office. Don't tell anyone you've done so; leave that as a surprise.

I own a 2008 reg cab 4x2 automatic and it has been nothing but disappointment since I bought it. I take very good care of my truck and never abuse it, but about every six months it is back at the dealership with warranty work being done to it. The reason I bought this truck is because of a friend of mine who has a 1987 sr5 truck and he is constantly beating the heck out of it and never has any problems. Are trucks built to less of a standard these days?
