Reread my post, I was saying he most likely needs inner cv boots ,which are usually what tears while the outers are fine. The inner boots are typically much harder to find and I ordered a set before and they did not fit correctly. I know the outer high angle boots can be found...

Well I concur with pretty much everyone else. You've got too much lift for IFS.

That being said, I'll contribute a minute amount of help. I'm assuming the CV that's busted is the inner CV's. The CV boot slide mode isn't going to help you at all considering the amount of lift you have. You're best bet if you're keeping the IFS is to do the Porsche 930 inner CV boot mod. The cliff notes are you ditch the factory CV boots, grind off the original boot lip from the CV and replace the inners with the Bates style 930 CV boots.

They are available pretty much anywhere. I got mine from Kartek.
    Part number is KTK-BAT101

    http://www.kartek.com/product/DriveT.../930Boots.html

Take a look towards the middle of this article. It outlines the process. Specifically this is for the Tundra axles, but the process is the same for the Tacomas.

And 38's? Really? Tell me you're not running stock gears.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be an asshole here, but I just can't help being mildly amused.

It looks like ground clearance of 12" of lift = ground clearance of 3" of lift. :notsure:
