On stage last time was 163? I bulked up to 193 at 10.5% bf, and now I'm dropping to around 4% (from 9.6% 173lbs right now) for a "transformation challenge" really I don't have much to transform, but my story of where I came from and how I make it work is hopefully the icing on the cake. I have about 7 weeks left to get down to that, so I'm dieting like I would be for stage. After the challenge, I'll stay around 7-8%bf and add clean mass to get me to 190lbs on stage which will bring me up from light weight to middle.

    Thanks man. That's a compliment :)

Edit: one of the main goals in bb'g is to look/appear bigger than you really are. Weight is nice, but if your 165 and look 180+ clean then you're doing something right.

:rolleyes:Low bodyfat and carb/sugar refeed. Thats a sign of low bodyfat, on stage (or even for this comp) I need to be down to 4%'ish. Vascularity is king!

yes, sir. Thats what I've done the past 3 so far. I dont want to step on stage again until we think I may have a chance of taking the show so I can qualify for Jr. Nationals.

If you train, you should compete so you have a clear understanding (not that you dont, but you can live the experience) of what it takes to do what many will not. Thats awesome for your gf, I hope she does well in her future comps.

Ya I would like to but unfortunately my genetics aren't the greatest.... I tend to contest prep with her on her cutting cycles (It helps to keep her on track) and thats what I try to do to understand what it takes first hand.... with carb loading/water depletion/ etc. I just dont feel as if my body is where I want it to be to be on stage ..... I would say my stage weight would be in the 182-187 range if I were to compete. Last cut was @ 198 at about 8 % so I figure at about 4-5% thats the weight Id be on stage

I know I know.... Funny thing is the last cut I didnt do one lick of cardio just to see how far I could get down in 9-10 weeks with 0 cardio (219-198)....just as a control for next time ....I easily could get there with a good cardio routine and id probably start 12 weeks out also...I tend to hold more fat than most

well i did my true test again.

    2-6-12

    i am down to 239.5
    170 pounds of lean
and down to 29% body fat
that puts me down 3% from last time which was 6 weeks ago with 9 poundof fat loss
man this is going slow, this pound a week thing kind of sucks but everyone keeps telling me it is the right way to do it.
only 14% of my body fat left to go to get to where i want to be. my goals may change once i get there but for now 15% is my goal.

Just remember you are leaner than 29% ... you forgot to factor in your skeletal weight....did you get these numbers from a physical calculation or from a bio-impedance machine?
