I have not completed it yet. I've got LR UCAs to put in and the anytime locker mod to do first.

However, my reason for wanting a kill switch on the ABS is predictability in the sand and snow. Imagine this scenario that played out last month. I was going down hill on a snow covered hill. Huge mogul like sand dunes alternating left and right with trees very close to the outside of the path. I was sliding my truck left and right using the moguls to arrest my momentum and help me turn. The line was perfect and the truck was in total control... Until the 4th or 5th turn when the ABS kicked in and sent me a few feet through the turn, and a tree branch dragged my driver side. The path continued like this for maybe 75-100 yards and the ABS was intermittent. Nothing was damaged, nor anyone hurt. But my line was fucked up and my spiritual moment was ruined.

ABS is great for highway driving in the snow and ice, and usually when/if it kicks in it doesn't matter because I always give myself 5-10x more time to stop depending on the road conditions. When off road, I like to know where all 4 of my tires are and what they are doing at all times. I don't like traction control or abs making decisions for me. Spinning the tires or sliding while braking is often the appropriate thing to do to.

If I need to pump my brakes, I'm familiar with the maneuver.

Is your truck lifted? What size Hi-Lift Jack are you carrying?

I just installed rock sliders made by our very own Dwreck. They fit great and stick out just enough to be useful as a step. The kick out is mild. I rattle canned flat black and put a very light layer of rustoleum bed liner for traction. I'm very happy.

I'm not big on the white colored Tacomas, but I like yours with the way you have the black accents. You should search for the Storm Trooper Tacoma thread.

Ordered a bed mount for my spare today from MetalMiller. It will allow me to mount to the front of the side of the bed in a vertical position. As of right now i simply ratchet strap the spare to the rails. Removed the stock spare today. Thinking about putting a compressor down there.

Going to put my LR UCAs in tomorrow. The ride has been awesome, but some wander. You must concentrate to drive in the wind. I'm hoping the UCAs will help me with that.

I got to test the Dwreck sliders this week and I'm very happy with the look and the build quality. They certainly saved me some body damage.

Here is a pic from tacocolin. I added a few more to the OP as well. Thanks again to all the TW guys for all the great ideas.

Installed the LR UCA and i'm kind sorry i did. Prior to install the tire was rubbing the UCA only at full lock in reverse. After the install the tire was way too close for comfort and rubbing everywhere. 3 hours in the alignment shop allowed us to get the tire away from the UCA but now its rubbing on the inner fender (front tires, inner fender flare). Not really a big deal, but the truck drives the same and im actually getting a little more vibration at 55 +mph. I really dont think it was worth the cost to purchase the UCAs.

I ordered 2 hub-centric wheel spacers 1". I'm sure that will give me a little more clearance near the UCA, but will make my fender problems worse. I plan on installing the spacers and then trimming this week. Ill post up pictures of the trim.

How high was the lift before you added the UCA? How was the alignment before the UCA?
