    Hello from NY.

After driving my dad's Tundra around everytime I went down to see him in NC, I finally decided to get a truck. I definitely needed a bigger vehicle than the one I had. I've had it for a couple weeks now and love it. Here's what I got:

    2012 Tacoma DCSB MGM
    TRD Sport Package
    Tow Package
    Daytime Running Lights

    Added so far:

    OEM Black Tube Steps
    AFE Pro Dry Air Filter
Husky Floor Liners (couldn't wait any longer for Weathertech)
    Switched to Synthetic

    And added this weekend:

Leer 100XQ Cap w/ Thule roof rack
    Stickers to back of Cap

    To be added:

Pop-and-lock PL8521 (either today or next weekend)

I am thinking to get one of these leer 100XQ as well,
just wonder if you can open the tailgate when you lock the canopy?
or it is better to put on a lock on the tailgate as well?

    regards

Since the tailgate doesn't have a lock, when the window is down in the back, you can pull on the tailgate handle to release it. At this point, the tailgate seems a little loose, but the window stops it from coming down. HOWEVER, I have a feeling if I pulled hard enough, I could get the tailgate down.

I just finished installing my Pop-and-Lock 5 minutes ago and works great. I did it on the passenger side, so only opens on two clicks. It's amazing that there are 3 sets of blue/pink and blue/black wires on the passenger side. Of course, my luck it was the third set before it was the right set. Word of advice, follow instructions on the following thread, especially looking at the pictures posted.

thanks for your advise, how long does it take to install the Pop and lock?
I will pick up my canopy with keyless remote option, what i am thinking is may be i can wire the pop and lock with the canopy's lock together, could save me some time to do all the set up.
