At 19K, you hit the 68% if the estimate was 13K.

Hey peoples!!!! I kinda discovered something that may be commonly known or might be something interesting that I have stumbled across. So I was sitting at Walmart today when I seen something that kinda caught my eye. It was a Mitsubishi Montero, nothing unusual except the rims it had on it. This sparked enough interest for me to do some research, and well if these will fit our trucks I think it may be something to consider. I discovered that on a 2002 Montero there was a factory option rim that to me is very very close (NOT EXACT) to the Konig CounterSteer design and could be got for quite a bit cheaper. Tell me what you all think?? My only concern is that the center may not be large enough to clearance the hub? If these would fit I think they would be a cheaper alternative to the Countersteer's.

I'm just guessing, but the center bore doesn't even look big enough.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. I also was thinking could running a set of wheel spacers correct the problem of the bore size?

If their not Hubcentric wheel spacers, yes. But they would likely wobble and freeway speeds.

duece.. For the record.. a T-case is next to the easiest thing to put back in a vehicle.. Next to changing the wheels.. It's probably easier to change it out then it is to take out the entire front dash area..

What did you change it out for? If you needed a new Actuator Motor or T-Case.. I have a used one for sale in working condition..

Read my T-Case Swap below!! \/\/\/ LOL!

The reason to have the exhaust rerouted on the 4x4's is because the exhaust actually goes underneath the transfer case and below the frame level. It is really a matter of ground or skid plate clearance. I don't plan to make any changes to my exhaust system except to have it rerouted exactly the same. I don't want to change the sound of the truck, so the factory system is just fine. I don't want to yank my exhaust off or crush it.

Yeah, that location has gotta be a function of when a robot puts the drive shaft in. That's about the only thing I could think of as to why they'd do it that way, b/c a person could get the drive shaft in there around it without any problems. Who knows.

:smack: DUH!! I read his comment wrong.. My eyes stopped at Put Transfer case in.. I failed to actually read "I had the muffler shop install a new transfer case.." I realized his exhaust first thing.. Just wasn't paying attention to the posts! LOL! Sorry! That's why I am Me!

Xodeuce should answer that question for you.. But I think he just wanted something Quite..

I know that when I saw it.. I guess when you DB lift it you tend to get rid of that problem!
