i like #2 and #3 but # the toyota letters are to big IMO. i like #2 more for that reason.

I'm thinking unless I can get access to our CNC machines or laser cutters during spring break, I'll most likely start with an acceptable mesh, bend 3 separate channels and basically start out with the same process as a Satoshi. Not sure about how to attach them.

I want it done cleanly with no connections showing so maybe tabs that go through that lip wall and then either bolted to epoxied on bolts or attached by some other method.

Preferably though I would like to make the piece out of plastic having it cut and bent to what I want and then plastic weld it in, and to make any letters that large they will have to be CNC'd or laser cut.

I also need to obtain grill to work on.

To Homer, you plastic weld your lips correct? Do you know what type of plastic the grill surround is?

ABS... And go to www.partsgeek.com a grill can be had there and they are not expensive either.

I'd suggest completing a satoshi mod, then build the inner part how you want it to look. You can then modify the satoshi to accept whatever design you come up with.

 

I like all of them , but #3 would be my choice .

Solid idea, but I'm not a fan. They look cool from this perspective, but I think they're too much of a change. I like subtle.
